4-12% Gradient Gels

A variety of 4-12% gradient gels can be found from different suppliers for protein electrophoresis. Precast gradient gels are solid, polymerized acrylamide slabs with a gradually increasing concentration toward the bottom of the gel. Because pore sizes are large at the top (4%) and decrease near the bottom (12%), gradient gels can resolve the separation of a broader range of different molecular weights.
