Peter Smibert is a Senior Manager at the New York Genome Center, and leads the Technology Innovation Lab. He obtained his Bachelors in Biomedical Science from the University of Adelaide, and his Ph.D. in Genetics from the Australian National University. The Technology Innovation Lab is a dedicated incubator within the NYGC that explores and tests breakthrough genomic tools and ideas. Dr. Smibert’s lab developed CITE-seq, the technology that enables simultaneous analysis of proteins and RNA by sequencing, in single cells.
