Description

Polysucroses (renamed from Ficoll™) are formed by copolymerization of sucrose with epichlorohydrin. The molecules are highly branched, and the high content of hydroxyl groups leads to very good solubility in aqueous media. Polysucroses behave as an ideal neutral sphere and displays excellent biocompatibility. Polysucrose does not contain any ionized groups, so it compatible under physiological conditions. Polysucrose is more sensitive to acid than dextran so that care must be taken when working at acid pH.Properties of the polysucroses include:All batches are checked for molecular weight, degree of substitution and loss on drying. Aladdin produce Polysucrose from 20 kDa to 1000 kDa. Polysucrose is provided as a dry powder and is extremely hydrophilic.Description:Polysucroses (renamed from Ficoll™) are formed by copolymerization of sucrose with epichlorohydrin.
