Chlorindanol (7-Chloro-4-indanol) is a topical antiseptic or sanitizer. Chlorindanol is rapidly lethal to vegetative bacteria, Trichophyton sp., C. albicans, E. histolytica cysts and trophozoites, T. vaginalis, and spermatozoa in vitro.
