A carbonic anhydrase inhibitor (IC50 = 130 nM); reduces intraocular pressure and cerebrospinal fluid flow in a rat model of glaucoma; reduces electroshock-induced seizures in rats (ED50 = 19.2 mg/kg); inhibits production of ROS in a PCN cellular model of SAH; reduces cerebral edema in a mouse model of SAH; larvicidal against A. aegypti (LC50 = 724 ppm)
