An antiviral agent; inhibits replication of SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, HCoV-229E, FCoV, and MHV in Vero cells at 40 µM; inhibits the formation of double membrane vesicles and viral RNA synthesis in HCoV-229E-infected MRC-5 cells; reduces viral titers in cells infected with various Arteriviridae or Torovirinae viruses
