Description
A cephalosporin antibiotic; selectively active against Gram-negative bacteria, including N. gonorrhea and S. pyogenes (MICs = 0.01-0.025 and 0.012-0.25 µg/ml, respectively), over the Gram-positive bacteria S. epidermidis and S. pyogenes (MICs = >25 µg/ml for both); inhibits S. pyogenes PBP2 and PBP3 (IC50s = 0.108 and 0.146 µg/ml, respectively)
