MagicQuant™ Pseudotyped Adenovirus type 41 Molecular Control

Description

MagicQuant™ Pseudotyped Adenovirus type 41 Molecular Control is designed for use with assay procedures that test for Adenovirus type 41 genomic DNA. Truncated DNA sequences from these genes (Genbank accession number MW567963.1) are packaged into a specially modified recombinant viral vector and diluted in PBS. The product is ready-to-use for extraction and detection via amplified nucleic acid test.
MagicQuant™ Pseudotyped Adenovirus type 41 Molecular Control utilizes a DNA nonenveloped AAV vector that has been developed as a viral vector for many years. The genes coding for the viral proteins associated with viral replication can be deleted and replaced with "target" sequences of interest. MagicQuant™ Pseudotyped Adenovirus type 41 Molecular Control, is the nucleic acid sequence of the Adenovirus type 41 gene wrapped in the outer membrane of the AAV. The resulting recombinant viral particles are efficiently packaged in HEK293 cells, but lack the genes required to produce new viral particles, and are therefore replication defective
