MagicQuant™ Pseudotyped HPV11 Molecular Control is designed for use with assay procedures that test for HPV11 genomic DNA and target the E6 transforming protein (E6, base pairs 1-453), E7 transforming protein (E7, base pairs 429-725) and L1 major capsid protein (L1, base pairs 5670-7175) genes. The product is not for use with HPV11 tests which target the E1 replication protein, E2 regulatory protein E4 protein, E5A transforming protein, E5B protein, L2 minor capsid protein genes or sequences outside of the E6, E7 and L1 genes. Truncated DNA sequences from these genes (Genbank accession number MK463922.1) are packaged into a specially modified recombinant viral vector and diluted in PBS. The product is ready-to use for extraction and detection via amplified nucleic acid test.
MagicQuant™ Pseudotyped HPV11 Molecular Control utilizes an DNA nonenveloped adenovirus that has been developed as a viral vector over many years. The genes coding for the viral proteins associated with viral replication can be deleted and replaced with "target" sequences of interest. In MagicQuant™ Pseudotyped HPV11 Molecular Control, adenovirus genes are replaced with sequences. The resulting recombinant viral particles are efficiently packaged in HEK293 cells, but lack the genes required to produce new viral particles, and are therefore replication defective
