Immortalized (Conditionally) Rat Decidual Cells (GG-AD)

Description

The decidual cells play an important role in the maintenance of pregnancy at the maternofetal interface after implantation of the fertilized egg into the endometrium. The Immortalized Rat Decidual Cells (GG-AD) is conditionally immortalized through the temperature-sensitive simian virus (SV40 tsA209) and possesses several endocrinological features, including the expression of progesterone receptor, activin type II, activin βA and activin βB. In addition, it also retains the ability to respond to cAMP stimulation and secrete PRL-related hormones, a hallmark of the antimesometrial decidual cells. This cell line is useful for studying the mechanism of decidual cell regression and reorganization
