Established from the primary tumor of a 68-year-old Caucasian woman with moderately differentiated endometrial adenocarcinoma (grade G2) in 1991; cells were described to express androgen receptors (androgen was reported to inhibit cell proliferation), but no estrogen receptors; cells were described to be tumorigenic in nude mice
