CHMP6,as known as charged multivesicular body protein 6, belongs to the SNF7family. This Protein is core component of the endosomal sorting required fortransport complex III (ESCRT-III) which is involved in multivesicular bodies(MVBs) formation and sorting of endosomal cargo proteins into MVBs.
