ABCA12 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein ATP binding cassette subfamily A member 12, which is encoded by the ABCA12 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in cholesterol metabolism and homeostasis and intracellular protein transport. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 2595 residues, a mass of 293.2 kDa, and is a member of the ABCA protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles and golgi and is reported to be mainly expressed in the stomach, placenta, testis and fetal brain. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. The ABCA12 gene has been associated with the disease, Ichthyosis. Other alias names for this target include ARCI4B, ICR2B, LI2, glucosylceramide transporter ABCA12, ATP-binding cassette transporter 12, and ARCI4A.
Some ABCA12 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
