SMC3 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein structural maintenance of chromosomes 3, which is encoded by the SMC3 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a central component of cohesin, a complex required for chromosome cohesion during the cell cycle. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 1217 residues, a mass of 141.5 kDa, and is a member of the SMC protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated, acetylated and phosphorylated. The SMC3 gene has been associated with the disease, Cornelia de Lange syndrome 3 with or without midline brain defects. Other alias names for this target include BMH, CDLS3, CSPG6, HCAP, SMC3L1, structural maintenance of chromosomes protein 3, SMC protein 3, and BAM.
There are SMC3 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 0.05 ng/mL and as high as 15 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
