SPNS2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein SPNS lysolipid transporter 2, sphingosine-1-phosphate, which is encoded by the SPNS2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a lipid transporter that specifically mediates export of sphingosine-1-phosphate (sphing-4-enine 1-phosphate, S1P) and sphinganine-1-phosphate in the lymph, thereby playing a role in lymphocyte trafficking. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 549 residues, a mass of 58 kDa, and is a member of the Spinster (TC 2.A.1.49) protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane. The SPNS2 gene has been associated with the disease, Deafness. Other alias names for this target include SPNS sphingolipid transporter 2, protein spinster homolog 2, solute carrier family 63 member 2, sphingolipid transporter 2, spinster homolog 2, and sphingosine-1-phosphate transporter SPNS2.
There are SPNS2 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
