Anti-SATI antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SATI is a known alias name of the protein ST3 beta-galactoside alpha-2,3-sialyltransferase 5, encoded by the ST3GAL5 gene in humans. This 418-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and protein glycosylation, among other biological processes. It is localized to the Golgi of the cell and features N-glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. The term SIAT9 is another synonym for SATI. Indicated applications for SATI antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
