Anti-NYD-sp9 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NYD-sp9 is a known alias name of the protein microfibril associated protein 3 like, encoded by the MFAP3L gene in humans. This 409-amino acid residue protein is believed to participate in the nuclear signaling of EGFR and MAPK1/ERK2. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the testis. The term NYD-sp9 is another synonym for NYD-sp9.
