Anti-p12B antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the p12B antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the EXOSC5 gene, which encodes exosome component 5. This protein is known to function in viral immune response and rRNA processing, among other biological roles. The human version of p12B has a canonical amino acid length of 235 residues and a protein mass of 25.2 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the lymph node, lung, heart muscle, bone marrow, and appendix. p12B is a member of the RNase PH protein family.
