Anti-P64 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the P64 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IL2RG gene, which encodes interleukin 2 receptor subunit gamma. This protein is known to function in cytokine-mediated signaling pathways and immune response pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of P64 has a canonical amino acid length of 369 residues and a protein mass of 42.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the stomach, spleen, rectum, gallbladder, and colon. Other names for this target antigen include CD132, CD132, and CIDX. These P64 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
