Anti-CMT4H antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CMT4H antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FGD4 gene, which encodes FYVE, RhoGEF and PH domain containing 4. This protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization and the regulation of cell shape, among other biological roles. The human version of CMT4H has a canonical amino acid length of 766 residues and a protein mass of 86.6 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types.
