Anti-SNAP 29 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SNAP 29 is a known alias name of the protein synaptosome associated protein 29, encoded by the SNAP29 gene in humans. This 258-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cilium assembly and exocytosis, among other biological processes. It is localized to the membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, Golgi, and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
