Anti-TMEPAI antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the TMEPAI antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PMEPA1 gene, which encodes prostate transmembrane protein, androgen induced 1. This protein is known to function as a negative regulator of TGF-beta signaling and thereby probably plays a role in cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, motility, extracellular matrix production and immunosuppression. The human version of TMEPAI has a canonical amino acid length of 287 residues and a protein mass of 31.6 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi of cells. TMEPAI is a member of the PMEPA1 protein family. Indicated applications for TMEPAI antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
