Anti-Axin antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Axin is a known alias name of the protein axin 1, encoded by the AXIN1 gene in humans. This 862-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the beta-catenin destruction complex required for regulating CTNNB1 levels through phosphorylation and ubiquitination, and modulating Wnt-signaling. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated, sumoylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Western Blot is a widely used application for the Axin antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
