Anti-IL19 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein interleukin 19. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 177 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.5 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the IL-10 protein family, IL19 is a reported cytokine that functions as an anti-inflammatory and proangiogenic factor. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include MDA1, NG.1, ZMDA1, melanoma differentiation associated protein-like protein, and IL-10C. IL19 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. A number of IL19 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
