My goal was to isolate CD14-positive cells (using positive or negative isolation) and mature them over three days into activated dendritic cells.

Summary

The Good

Easy to use and not too time consuming.

The Bad

Positive isolation restricts certain applications (ex CD14+ staining for purity analysis).

The Bottom Line

This kit works great for getting a population of cells that is generally CD14+ in a little more than an hour. I have not tested purity myself but my matured cells have been fairly pure after giving specific cytokines to induce maturation/selection.
