0.5 μg of ER-localized mEmerald-ER3 DNA and 0.75 μl fugene HD were diluted in 200 μl Optimem and incubated for 15 min. The complex was added to the culture medium with HEK293 cells (around 50% confluent) in 35-mm dish and incubated for 8 h. The transfected cells were visualized in fluorescent microscope after 24 h.
