The NEBNext Multiplex Oligos for Illumina (Dual Index Primers Set 1) contains the adaptor and index primers that are ideally suited for multiplex sample preparation for next-generation sequencing on the Illumina platform. Using this kit, 24 different bacterial genomic DNA libraries were prepared and sequenced in MiSeq platform. All libraries generated desired cluster amplification and reads with Q score of 30.

The NEBNext Multiplex Oligos for Illumina (Dual Index Primers Set 1) contains the adaptor, 8 i5 indexing primers and 12 i7 indexing primers. Using combination of i5 and i7 indexing primers (dual indexing strategy), I have prepped 36 different samples for sequencing using single run in MiSeq platform. Protocol comes with easy to follow pictorial instructions and followed instructions given in the kit manual.
Avoid contaminating i5 and i7 indexing primers. Always change caps of the primer tubes with new ones.
Using The NEBNext Multiplex Oligos for Illumina (Dual Index Primers Set 1), I have successfully prepped 36 different bacterial genomic DNA samples sequencing libraries for single run in the MiSeq platform.
