We aim to understand the influence of T cells on antibody-mediated disease. In general we use this antibody to stimulate B cells ex vivo for cell culture assays. The concentration at which we use it at can vary depending on desired results but this antibody allows us to stimulate B cells with ease for a range of culture experiments.

Results Summary

We analyze B cells at time points between 36 hours for activation and 4 days for antibody production after stimulation with anti-IgM. At the concentration we use this antibody at B cells have increased surface MHC at 36 hours and proliferate to maintain live cell numbers for up to 4 days. At 6 days we can observe an increase in antibody production.

Summary

The Good

It works well at a variety of concentrations to stimulate B cells.

The Bad

It may not be as effective after 3 months of storage at the recommended 4 degrees.

The Bottom Line

It will work well but may require some optimization. The attempts to optimize are well worth the cost and efficacy of this product.
