We obviously use this machine for rt PCR-looking at the relative expression of a wide variety of genes. My main concerns when I look at rtPCR data is what the curves look like, how the CT values on my genes of interest compare with my housekeeping genes, and if expression follows a general trend. The CFX connect delivers on all fronts and I have never had an issue with my experiments due to the machine.

Protocol Overview

After preparing your master mix and the 96 well plates or strips containing the reaction mixture, the software is very intuitive and makes it easy to customize your PCR protocols or run a typical template.

Tips

We've only tried this machine using bio-rad's own reagents

Protocol is quick and I've never had a problem with my technical replicates being weird/edge effect or anything of that nature with this machine.
