qPCR plates are microtubes arranged in a well-plate format for loading samples and reactions in qPCR (real-time) thermocyclers. As with PCR tubes, qPCR plates are generally made of highly refined polypropylene, are DNase- and RNase-free, and autoclavable. In addition, they are optimized for the optical characteristics of real-time thermocyclers, which rely on fluorescence detection. qPCR plates can be categorized as non-skirted, semi-skirted, and fully skirted. While 96-well formats are the most common, 384-well qPCR plates are also available, allowing higher-throughput assays. These plates are extensively used by researchers engaged in areas such as gene expression studies and microbial analysis. Refer to the qPCR plate supplier for more information, including instrument compatibility, formats, and features.
