Moloney murine leukemia virus (MMLV) reverse transcriptase is an RNA-dependent DNA polymerase enzyme that catalyzes the synthesis of complementary DNA strands from single-stranded RNA, DNA, or a hybrid of the two. Purified from Escherichia coli, it is encoded by the pol gene and is made of 671 amino acid residues. It shows optimal activity around 37 °C and lacks DNA endonuclease activity. It can be used for primer extension, sequencing, creating cDNA libraries, and RT-PCR. Visit the supplier page for more product information.
