Pathway-driven multi-omics integration show how analyses can transform understanding of disease biology, identify novel biomarkers, and provide mechanistic insights. Presenters in this webinar will discuss integration of omics datasets to overcome gaps in knowledge of how existing tuberculosis drugs work, the identification of drug response biomarkers for use in clinical trials, and the discovery of novel biomarkers for disease diagnosis.

Dr. Mano discovered the lung cancer oncogene EML4K-ALK gene fusion in 2007. In this webinar Dr. Mano reviews his current research using SureSelect RNA capture products to focus his Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) experiments. By focusing on a smaller targeted region of the transcriptome, SureSelect enables the discovery of novel gene fusions, mutations and Indels associated with cancer.
The low-voltage, high-resolution scanning electron microscope. The Agilent 8500 FE-SEM has been optimized for low-voltage imaging, extremely high surface contrast, and resolution typically found only in much larger and more expensive field emission microscopes. Analyze cells, bacteria, viruses and more in their natural state with a simple dehydration sample prep. No need for sample cleaning or coating.
The fastest and most versatile small footprint liquid-handling system available. Agilent's Bravo platform offers the most complete and versatile system for next-generation sequencing (NGS) sample prep, library creation and target enrichment. Two Bravo Platform models are available: standard and SRT. The standard model fits in most standard laminar flow hoods. The SRT model is three inches (7.62 cm) shorter, providing extra clearance for hoods with short internal height.
Today’s mass spectrometers are faster, more sophisticated and more sensitive than ever. Yet if the molecules that are fed into these machines aren’t charged, the machine is as blind as a bat. That’s because mass spectrometers don’t actually measure a molecule’s mass, but rather its mass-to-charge ratio (m/z). Given a molecule’s m/z value...
Quantitation of proteotypic peptides of plasma by SRM-MS allows specific, internally-standardized measurement of protein biomarkers and can achieve sub-nanogram/ml detection levels when specific anti-peptide antibodies are used to enrich target peptides (SISCAPA). An automated protocol was developed for implementing this immunoaffinity enrichment, allowing processing of 96 samples in less than 30 minutes. For an 11-plex assay, this automated sample preparation has been combined with a rapid, conventional flow LC/MS analysis in 3 minutes.

Andreas Luippold of Boehringer Ingelheim discusses the Rapid and Integrated Analysis System (RIAS), a universal and highly automated LC-MS/MS system for the processing of in vitro ADME samples.
