This protein is 450 amino acids long, with a mass of 50.4 kDa, and is a member of the Tubulin family. 2 isoforms have been identified. This is reported to be a cytoplasmic protein. There is a noted implication in Fibrosis of extraocular muscles, congenital, 3A. Other alias names for this protein include: tubulin beta-3 chain, class III beta-tubulin, tubulin beta-4 chain, tubulin beta-III, CDCBM, CDCBM1, and CFEOM3.
