IZUMO1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein izumo sperm-oocyte fusion 1, which is encoded by the IZUMO1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be an important sperm cell-surface protein required for fertilization by acting as a ligand for IZUMO1R/JUNO receptor on egg. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 350 residues, a mass of 38.9 kDa, and is a member of the Izumo protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles and cell membrane and is reported to have sperm-specific expression. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated and phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include izumo sperm-egg fusion 1, oocyte binding/fusion factor, sperm-specific protein Izumo, and izumo sperm-egg fusion protein 1.
Some IZUMO1 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 15.6 pg/mL and as high as 4000 pg/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
