PDE5A ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein phosphodiesterase 5A, which is encoded by the PDE5A gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to play a role in in signal transduction by regulating the intracellular concentration of cyclic nucleotides. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 875 residues, a mass of 100 kDa, and is a member of the Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase protein family. It is reported to be expressed in aortic smooth muscle cells, heart, placenta, skeletal muscle and pancreas and, to a much lesser extent, in the brain, liver and lung. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include CN5A, PDE5, cGMP-specific 3',5'-cyclic phosphodiesterase, cGMP-binding cGMP-specific 3',5'-cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase, and CGB-PDE.
There are PDE5A ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 100 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
