ME3 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein malic enzyme 3, which is encoded by the ME3 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of (S)-malate to pyruvate using NADP(+) as a cofactor. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 604 residues, a mass of 67.1 kDa, and is a member of the Malic enzymes protein family. It is known to be localized in the mitochondria and is reported to be highly expressed in organs with a low-division rate. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include NADP-dependent malic enzyme, mitochondrial, malate dehydrogenase (oxaloacetate-decarboxylating) (NADP(+)), malic enzyme 3, NADP(+)-dependent, mitochondrial, and NADP-ME.
There are ME3 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
