CXADR ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein CXADR Ig-like cell adhesion molecule, which is encoded by the CXADR gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known component of the epithelial apical junction complex that may function as a homophilic cell adhesion molecule and is essential for tight junction integrity. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 365 residues and a mass of 40 kDa. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is reported to be expressed in pancreas, brain, heart, small intestine, testis, prostate and at a lower level in liver and lung. As many as 7 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally N-glycosylated and palmitoylated. Other alias names for this target include CAR4/6, HCAR, coxsackievirus and adenovirus receptor, 46 kD coxsackievirus and adenovirus receptor (CAR) protein, CVB3-binding protein, and CAR.
There are CXADR ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 18.75 pg/mL and as high as 60 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
