Functionally, this protein is known to be required for vesicle docking or fusion during acrosome biogenesis (By similarity). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 562 residues and a mass of 58.3 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasmic vesicles and is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. As many as 4 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally O-glycosylated.
