HHAT ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein hedgehog acyltransferase, which is encoded by the HHAT gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a palmitoyl acyltransferase that catalyzes N-terminal palmitoylation of SHH; which is required for SHH signaling. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 493 residues, a mass of 57.3 kDa, and is a member of the Membrane-bound acyltransferase protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER and golgi and is widely expressed across many tissue types. As many as 7 protein isoforms have been reported. The HHAT gene has been associated with the disease, Nivelon-Nivelon-Mabille syndrome. Other alias names for this target include melanoma antigen recognized by T-cells 2, skinny hedgehog protein 1, and protein-cysteine N-palmitoyltransferase HHAT.
The detection range for different HHAT ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
