HPD ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase, which is encoded by the HPD gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to catalyze the conversion of 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvic acid to homogentisic acid, one of the steps in tyrosine catabolism. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 393 residues, a mass of 44.9 kDa, and is a member of the 4HPPD protein family. It is known to be localized in the membrane, ER, golgi, and cytoplasm. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The HPD gene has been associated with the disease, Tyrosinemia. Other alias names for this target include 4HPPD, GLOD3, HPPDASE, PPD, 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvic acid oxidase, glyoxalase domain containing 3, and 4-HPPD.
Some HPD ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 78 pg/mL and as high as 200 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
