ELAVL1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein ELAV like RNA binding protein 1, which is encoded by the ELAVL1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a RNA-binding protein that binds to the 3'-UTR region of mRNAs and increases their stability. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 326 residues, a mass of 36.1 kDa, and is a member of the RRM elav protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm and is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally methylated and phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include HUR, Hua, MelG, ELAV-like protein 1, ELAV (embryonic lethal, abnormal vision, Drosophila)-like 1 (Hu antigen R), and ELAV1.
