RBBP8 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein RB binding protein 8, endonuclease, which is encoded by the RBBP8 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a reported endonuclease that cooperates with the MRE11-RAD50-NBN (MRN) complex in DNA-end resection, the first step of double-strand break (DSB) repair through the homologous recombination (HR) pathway. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 897 residues, a mass of 101.9 kDa, and is a member of the COM1/SAE2/CtIP protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and is reported to be expressed in ER-positive breast cancer lines, but tends to be down-regulated ER-negative cells. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated and phosphorylated. The RBBP8 gene has been associated with the disease, Seckel syndrome. Other alias names for this target include CTIP, JAWAD, JWDS, RIM, SAE2, SCKL2, DNA endonuclease RBBP8, and COM1.
Some Rbbp8 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
