PIWIL2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein piwi like RNA-mediated gene silencing 2, which is encoded by the PIWIL2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a reported endoribonuclease that plays a central role during spermatogenesis by repressing transposable elements and preventing their mobilization, which is essential for the germline integrity (By similarity). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 973 residues, a mass of 109.8 kDa, and is a member of the Argonaute protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasm and is reported to be expressed in adult testis and in most tumors. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include HILI, PIWIL1L, mili, piwi-like protein 2, cancer/testis antigen 80, piwi-like 2, piwil2-like protein, and CT80.
Some PIWIL2 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
