SYNE2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein spectrin repeat containing nuclear envelope protein 2, which is encoded by the SYNE2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in the regulation of cell migration. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 6885 residues, a mass of 796.4 kDa, and is a member of the Nesprin protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane, nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm and is found to be widely expressed, with higher level in kidney, adult and fetal liver, stomach and placenta. As many as 13 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated. The SYNE2 gene has been associated with the disease, Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy. Other alias names for this target include KASH2, NUA, NUANCE, Nesp2, Nesprin-2, TROPH, KASH domain-containing protein 2, and EDMD5.
The detection range for different SYNE2 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 15 ng/L and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
