HSD17B10 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein hydroxysteroid 17-beta dehydrogenase 10, which is encoded by the HSD17B10 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be a mitochondrial dehydrogenase involved in pathways of fatty acid, branched-chain amino acid and steroid metabolism. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 261 residues, a mass of 26.9 kDa, and is a member of the Short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) protein family. It is known to be localized in the mitochondria and is widely expressed across many tissue types. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The HSD17B10 gene has been associated with the disease, HDS10 mitochondrial disease. Other alias names for this target include ABAD, CAMR, DUPXp11.22, ERAB, HADH2, HCD2, HSD10MD, and 17b-HSD10.
Some HSD17B10 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 15 ng/L and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
