TMC1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein transmembrane channel like 1, which is encoded by the TMC1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a suspected ion channel required for the normal function of cochlear hair cells. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 760 residues, a mass of 87.8 kDa, and is a member of the TMC protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is notably expressed in fetal cochlea, and at low levels in placenta and testis. The TMC1 gene has been associated with the disease, Deafness. Other alias names for this target include transmembrane cochlear-expressed protein 1, transmembrane, cochlear expressed, 1, and transmembrane channel-like protein 1.
There are TMC1 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 15 ng/L and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
