ATP11A ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein ATPase phospholipid transporting 11A, which is encoded by the ATP11A gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a catalytic component of a P4-ATPase flippase complex which catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled to the transport of aminophospholipids, phosphatidylserines (PS) and phosphatidylethanolamines (PE), from the outer to the inner leaflet of the plasma membrane. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 1134 residues, a mass of 129.8 kDa, and is a member of the Cation transport ATPase (P-type) (TC 3.A.3) protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER and cell membrane and is widely expressed across many tissue types. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally cleaved. The ATP11A gene has been associated with the disease, Deafness.
