GUCY2D ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein guanylate cyclase 2D, retinal, which is encoded by the GUCY2D gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to catalyze the synthesis of cyclic GMP (cGMP) in rods and cones of photoreceptors. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 1103 residues, a mass of 120.1 kDa, and is a member of the Adenylyl cyclase class-4/guanylyl cyclase protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. The GUCY2D gene has been associated with the disease, Leber congenital amaurosis. Other alias names for this target include CACD1, CG-E, CORD5, CORD6, CSNB1I, CYGD, GUC1A4, and CACD.
