Functionally, this protein is known to act as a bona fide target gene of p53/TP53. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 289 residues and a mass of 32.1 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and is reported to be highly expressed in adult brain, and moderately in adult kidney and testis. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported.
