TMC2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein transmembrane channel like 2, which is encoded by the TMC2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a suspected ion channel required for the normal function of cochlear hair cells. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 906 residues, a mass of 102.6 kDa, and is a member of the TMC protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is notably expressed in fetal cochlea. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include transmembrane cochlear-expressed gene 2, transmembrane cochlear-expressed protein 2, and transmembrane channel-like protein 2.
Some TMC2 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
